WORKSHOP

Near Future Designers

The role of the designer is changed and it will still change.
The Near Future Design realizes the pre-totypes of the possible futures.
What will be the role of the designer of the near future? How will it adapt to the economical and technological paradigms?
The participants of this intense 12 hours hands-on workshop held by Nefula will implement the Near Future Design methodology in order to answer to these questions and in order to realize the pre-totypes of the designer of the near future.

Goals:

– to learn about Near Future Design Methodology and its tools;
– how can we give rise to our vision about the future of the designer?
– what is a Pre-totype, as compared with a prototype?
– how can Transmedia Narratives help us to transform our vision of the future into engaging, performative, ubiquitous communication?

Your takeaways:

– to learn how to transform your vision on the future of the designer into pre-totypes;
– to learn how to powerfully communicate your pre-totypes using a Transmedia Narrative.

On the 10th of November at 7 p.m., at the University of Bolzano, Nefula will held also a Public Lecture entitled “The future doesn’t exist. It’s a performance. Methodologies and practices toward Near Future Design”,in which we will analyse the Near Future Design methodology and its possibilities in education.
