Med.Net 03 RESILI(G)ENCE in Genova
Med.Net 03 RESILI(G)ENCE
27th October 2016
On the 27th October 2016 Nefula will be in Genova to take part of The Med.Net 03 Resili(g)ence International Forum, organized by Architecture and Design Doctorate (ADD), University of Genova .
The forum – structured in exhibition, symposium, scientific and creative meetings and workshops – is contextualized within an investigative framework –MED. NET– on research topics and meetings regarding the Mediterranean multi-city and its bond with the new relations “city-territory-landscape-architecture”.
It will be an opportunity to talk about the multiple futures of the cities, focusing on a new kind of city: the resilient one. One that will be able to deal with the main topics of contemporary era (climate change, migrations, population growth, resources consumption, labour market crisis…) increasing the resilient capacity of our ecosystem.
Here a short extract from the call for paper:
Contemporary complexity requires new tools: old approaches based on the “defensive control” and corrective contingency responses, are replaced by “synergy policies” addressed through preventive proactive, adaptable and reversible actions, which combine ancient “scenarios of emergency” (risk areas) with new “emergency scenarios” (areas of opportunity). New resili(g)ents responses must work in a hybrid field: on one hand, prevention and mitigation of conflicts and risks through the interconnection and registry of systematized data (simulated or real-time), on other hand programming of planning interventions, divided into urban systems and global territories. The Resili(g)ence meeting proposes to combine “Intelligent Cities” (information, knowledge, projection and adaptation) and “Resilient City” (resistance and recycling, reaction and recovery, renovation and adaptation) in a new sensory condition, sensorized and time sensitive.
In this framework Nefula will bring the Near Future Design perspective, introducing how it could be a process to imagine, perform, think, discuss about multiple futures of the city in collaborative and inclusive ways.
Marta Cecconi and Rudy Faletra will speak on behalf of Nefula within the research table “Landing/Socializing Resilien(g)e” chaired by Raffaella Fagnoni.
