The national premiere of DOCU #02 Biohacking, a documentary made by Nefula and co-produced by Rural Hub, is presented at Hacking Source.
Starring a group of researchers and hackers from around the world, we uncover the meaning of biohacking, its approach to research, learning, and sharing in science and beyond.
DOCU, Documenting the Curious, is a documentary format created by Nefula, the first Italian studio that applies a Near Future Design methodology.
The purpose of DOCU is to explore the evolutionary tensions of this with the aim to give a glimpse of what scenarios may lie ahead for tomorrow.
DOCU gives a voice to artists, researchers, designers, entrepreneurs, scientists, thinkers and activists from around the world to make the future accessible before us, showing their possible social, economic, and political implications.
At Hacking Source three documentaries produced by Nefula: DOCU #00 at FutureFest, DOCU #01 Collaborative Economy at Ouishare Fest, and DOCU #02 Biohacking, are presented together for the first time.
Projections are planned from 2.00pm to 8.00pm at Le Murate – Progetti di Arte Contemporanea, Sala Banti, first floor, from 16th to 22nd of September. The projections will not take place Sunday 18th September.
Hacking Source
Hacking Source is a side-project of Source, an annual exhibition that since 2012 selects and follows the work of Italian and international designers with the aim of helping them approaching production, marketing and sales. Source has grown to become a permanent project and offers education, services and professional consultation all the year round, in Florence and other Italian cities on the theme of design and self-production.
